Mistforged
The Mistforged are halflings who wandered into the Shadenlands and heeded the call of the mists, becoming consumed and reborn through its otherworldly influence. This transformation has left them as hardy survivors, but also cursed them with an unusual susceptibility to misfortune that seems to follow them wherever they go. They exist in a state that can only be described as barely corporeal, their forms flickering between solid flesh and wisps of shadow, as if they never fully returned from their journey into the mists.

Traits
- Jinxed (per day): Once per day, you may choose to catastrophically fail a check that has some degree of consequence. Once within 2 hours of failing the check, you can target 1 creature making a check and make them catastrophically fail it.
- Mistform (per rest): Once per rest you may transform your corporeal form into a cloud of mist. While in mist form, you are immune to all damage but cannot attack or interact with physical objects. In combat this transformation costs 2 AP and lasts for 3 turns. Outside of combat this can last for up to 1 hour.
- Selective Adaption (per session): At the start of each session and after every rest, you may select a damage type to adapt to. You gain 2 levels of resistance to your chosen damage type until your next rest or the end of the session.
- Fortitude from Misfortune (per session): Your constant exposure to bad luck has taught you to endure what would break others. Each time you suffer a critical failure, mishap, or significant setback during a session, you gain a point of Fortitude (maximum 3 points). You can spend 1 point of Fortitude to gain 2 degrees of advantage on any single check, or spend all accumulated Fortitude points to automatically succeed on a resistance or defence check. All Fortitude points reset at the end of each session.
