You place a ward against death on a creature or object. The ward lasts for as many hours as your Melasmagus level. If the target would drop to 0 hit points while the ward is active, they instead drop to 1 hit point and the ward dissipates. If used on an object, it prevents decay or damage for the duration. The ward appears as a faint shadowy mark visible only to you. You may have as many active Death Wards as your Melasmagus level.
